Julie Ha is the creator and owner of Julie Shek Design (formerly known as Julie Ha Design). With a love for typography and lettering, she’s always looking for new ways of perfecting her letterforms and fell in love with nib, pen, and paint while creating her own wedding suite paper back in 2014. She spent four years at James Madison University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design in 2009. During this time, she learned to find her own aesthetic in design and type. 

She’s based out of Northern Virginia and live with her husband, daughter, and their goldendoodle pup. She loves to hoard paper of all sorts and comes up with new excuses to try out new textures of papers as a way to constantly develop different styles and looks of design.
